about me

Chelsea Owens, LMFT

Marriage & family therapist · Art therapist · Artist · Oracle

I bring warmth and energy to the room, and my laugh is infectious. I bring levity to things that can feel overwhelming and heavy, and I'll probably show up in something sparkly.

I work with wild, smart, creative women and people who are ready to meet their wildness, messiness, and spirit. I help them deepen their relationship to Self, heal the parts of themselves that got hurt along the way, and carry their Knowing into their relationships and out into the world.

Ways to work with me:
  • Therapy that weaves Internal Family Systems and art therapy together, [in person in (city) / virtually in (states)]
  • Outer Realms for Inner Archives, my oracle deck made from my own collage art, [coming to Kickstarter this October]
  • A monthly letter with a channeled message and a new piece of my art
  • Parts & Charts, the podcast where I explore IFS and astrology with KP Kaszubowski

Who I am

I am an artist, therapist, certified Level 3 IFS-trained practitioner, meditator, Enneagram 4, ocean lover, and forever student.

It all started when…

An eating disorder, heartbreak, loss, self-hatred, grief, deaths, extreme boundary violations, depression, the internalization of the rejection of the feminine, feeling lost in my 20s, and lots of failing miserably.

I spent a lot of time longing for connection with other people. I chased relationships and totally neglected, betrayed, and abused myself in order to get them.

Slowly, I began to look at all the coverings that were masking my authenticity. I started to lead with my heart, shine a flashlight on my own shame, and embody compassion for all parts of myself. I let my true golden essence take the lead.

Making art was a huge part of how I found my way back. Glue, paint, scraps of paper, and anything I could bedazzle helped my parts say what they couldn't say out loud. That's why I believe, down to my bones, that self-expression is a spiritual practice.

My oracle deck: Outer Realms for Inner Archives

Every card in this deck is an original collage I made by hand, with a message I wrote for it. Many mornings, I pull a card to ask which part of me wants attention, then I make something in response. This deck is that ritual, printed and ready for your hands.

Use it to start your day, open a journal entry, spark an art project, or check in with whoever inside you needs to be heard. Each one is an invitation back to your own Knowing.

[Outer Realms for Inner Archives is coming to Kickstarter in October 2026, with the first print run shipping in time for the holidays.]

How I work

In my practice, I help women (and people of all genders) who are struggling in their relationships: with partners, with family, and most of all with themselves. Together, we get to know the parts of you that are working so hard. Some are protectors, trying to keep you safe. Some are exiles, still carrying old pain. Underneath all of them is Self, the calm, curious, compassionate core of you that can lead with care.

Art gives those parts a voice. Sometimes a part won't talk but will happily pick a color. Sometimes a ten-minute collage says what months of talking couldn't. You don't need to be "good at art." You just need to be willing to get a little messy.

My holistic approach is influenced by many modalities:
  • Internal Family Systems
  • Art therapy
  • Existential & Gestalt therapy
  • Mindfulness, meditation & spirituality
  • Intersectional feminism
  • Social justice

Self-expression is a spiritual practice

When you wear the thing that makes you feel like yourself, that's practice. When you write a love letter, pick up a shell on the beach and ask what it has to say, or knit your way through a hard day, that's practice too. In IFS, creativity is one of the core qualities of Self. Every honest act of expression gives your golden essence a little more room to lead.

My own spiritual life is a patchwork: meditation, oracle cards, long walks, the ocean, the seasons, and the sky. I notice what astrological transits stir up in me, then I go make something about it.

All of you is welcome here

Your wild parts, your messy parts, your tender parts, and the ones still deciding whether to trust me. Let's make something.
